The Tonto National Monument, overlooking the Salt River Valley and Theodore Roosevelt Lake, includes two well preserved Anasazi Cliff Dwellings. A well designed path takes visitors to the lower dwellings through brust, a Saguaro Cactus forest, Cholla Cactus, and in the spring, fields of golden Mexican Poppy.
