The Bandera Volcan in the high desert landscape of New Mexico is truly a land of fire and ice. Located in the Zuni Mountins near Grant, where outside temperatures hover near 100 degreees F in the summer, the Bandera Ice Caves remain at or just below freezing year round. The green color is from algae.
